After nearly 20 minutes of tireless effort, Nalu miraculously started breathing on his own again.
Klein, reflecting on the experience, said, “I found him in the heat and smoke, and I could tell he was already gone. But after putting on an oxygen mask and performing CPR, it was amazing to see him come back to life.”
A New Lease on Life Nalu’s owner, Crystal Lamirande, returned home to find her apartment engulfed in flames, but firefighters were already hard at work. Despite the terrifying scene, Nalu’s recovery brought a ray of hope. Neighbors rushed him to a nearby animal hospital for further care, and while the fire caused significant damage, the quick response saved lives.
Klein added, “In ten minutes, firefighters extinguished the fire without causing any injuries, and saving Nalu made it all the more worthwhile.”
