Supatra Sasuphan entered the Guinness Book of Records at a very young age, not for athletic prowess or a special gift, but for a unique condition. Known as the world’s hairiest girl, her journey has been one of resilience and courage.
Supatra was born with a rare genetic condition called Ambras syndrome, also known as werewolf syndrome, which causes excessive hair growth all over her body, including her face. Despite numerous efforts by her parents and medical professionals to find a cure, modern medicine has yet to offer a permanent solution. Laser hair removal treatments, which were attempted, only caused her hair to grow back faster and thicker.
Growing up, Supatra faced relentless teasing and bullying from her classmates. Despite this, she managed to find a supportive group of friends who treated her kindly and accepted her for who she is.
Now at the age of 17, Supatra has learned to manage her condition and live her life with confidence. She has even found love and recently got married, though she has chosen to keep her husband’s identity private.
Their initial group photos have appeared online, receiving an outpouring of support and admiration from users who praised her beauty and bravery.
To maintain her current appearance, Supatra shaves her face regularly. This routine helps her manage her condition and present herself as she desires.
We send Supatra strength and patience as she continues her journey. Her story is a testament to her resilience, and we are confident she will overcome any challenges that come her way.
