When Brandon Key and Jason Frost set out on a fishing trip on Alabama’s Black Warrior River, they anticipated catching fish, not kittens. However, their day took an unexpected turn that would leave them with a story to share for a lifetime.

While relaxing on the river, the two friends noticed something unusual swimming towards their boat. To their astonishment, it was a kitten paddling frantically in the water.

“So, we’re out here on the Warrior River, and y’all are not gonna believe what is swimming towards our boat. A kitten,” Frost narrated, capturing the moment on video.

To their surprise, a second kitten soon followed, also making its way towards the boat.

“They’re twins! Are you kidding me?” Key exclaimed as the second kitten approached.

The video of this incredible rescue quickly went viral, showcasing the kittens’ determination and the fishermen’s amazement. Despite being soaked and visibly frightened, the kittens were strong swimmers and seemed incredibly grateful for their unexpected rescuers.

“Some jackass probably put them out there,” Frost speculated, suspecting the kittens had been abandoned. Yet, their survival instincts kicked in, and no river could deter these resilient little felines.

The kittens were soon brought to dry land, where Key and Frost found a loving family ready to adopt the ginger cuties. The heartwarming rescue ended with the kittens finding a forever home, safe from any more unexpected river adventures.

This surprising twist on a typical fishing trip brought a new meaning to “catfishing,” and left Key and Frost with a heartwarming tale of unexpected heroism and the purrfect rescue.
