Kittens may be tiny and nearly defenseless, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be incredibly fierce, or at least try to be! In the rescue world, it’s often called ‘spicy,’ and it goes to show that cattitude can be everything sometimes. In the fight for survival, sometimes the tiniest kittens can be the fiercest. For example, here’s a little black kitten, Arnold, who stood his ground in the Fort Worth, Texas, area.
Arnold the Kitten Shows the Big Dogs What’s What
Amidst a flurry of dog rescues in Fort Worth, a surprising sight caught the rescuers’ attention: a tiny black kitten fearlessly confronting two much larger dogs!
“Arnold is the spunkiest and most fearless kitten! He showed up on our property out of the blue, with no other kitties in sight,” they shared.
Arnold arched his back, hissed, and did his best to appear fierce when the dogs approached.
Rather than retreat, the kitten quickly decided these dogs were his new family and playfully ran after them! Fortunately, these two dogs are very gentle, good-natured pups.
Another bit of luck was that Arnold chose the right folks, Jyl and Brian, to impress with his antics. The rescuers happened to have supplies for kittens on hand and ensured he found a loving home.
A Spunky Kitten Finds His Place
“Pretty sure this kitten now identifies as a dog. Thankfully, I had topical flea meds and kitten food in my car today. Who needs a spunky baby in their life?” shared Code Red Animal Project Inc., humorously acronymed CRAP.
“That moment when a tiny stray kitten appears and shows the big kids what’s what.”
Arnold is ‘Everyone-Friendly’
Despite being found as a stray, the fierce kitty quickly became “the sweetest, spunkiest, most friendly kitten you’ve ever met.” Safe at the rescue, he formed a “special bond” with Mia the dog and many other friends.
“If you’re looking for a very everyone-friendly kitten friend, Arnold is your guy!” shared CRAP.
The Biggest Little Spoon
On another day, Jyl caught the kitten and Snowflake the dog snuggling together with Brian in a pile of blankets.
Another time, she found the snuggle buddies spooning, with the tiny kitten somehow being the big spoon in that scenario.
“How is it that this tiny kitten is somehow the big spoon in this scenario?” she asked.
